Simplicity Sofa is a relatively new company, established in November of 2007. Jeff Frank and Glenn Laughlin are the two men responsible for forming the company. They have been working in the niche of “ready to assemble furniture” for the past 15 years. They are the owners of five US patents and four international patents specific to the ready to assemble furniture.

Their customer service seems to be excellent. They will send up to five fabric samples to your house at no charge to you so you can decide which type of fabric you would like on your furniture. If you want to sample more than 5, you will need to pay one dollar for each sample past five. The 5 per customer rule seems be in place only to dissuade everyone from requesting a sample of every fabric. On their website they state that if you truthfully would like to see additional fabrics, just place another order of 5 and they will send it out for free. Many online comments state that one of the owners personally talked to them to ensure customer satisfaction.

Let’s talk about their furniture. They use solid oak frames on all their furniture and include a lifetime warranty on the oak frame. They also include a 1 year warranty on the fabric and a 3 year warranty on the cushions. All furniture is made individually by a person -- no mass produced furniture. They offer slip covers made specifically for your furniture as well. They have over 84 different fabric styles and patterns that can be used for your sofa.

They ship their furniture in multiple boxes that will fit through narrow hallways and staircases. The boxes are approximately 15 inches wide, which makes them easier to maneuver and fit into virtually any area of your house. The furniture is simple to assemble. It only takes 15 minutes and it doesn’t require any tools.

Now that all the official information has been dispensed, it’s time for the reviews. There are a few websites which include reviews of Simplicity Sofa. Most of the reviews seem somewhat fishy though. The comments are all posted in small timeframe or appear to be from an unreliable source. On one page, even one of the owners of Simplicity Sofa appears to be arguing with a poster who had a negative comment. Note that the negative comment wasn’t someone who purchased one of the sofas and was unsatisfied with it.

That being said, there are no bad reviews of Simplicity Sofa. Maybe the owners of Simplicity Sofa will stumble onto this webpage and send us a sofa so that we can review it for ourselves!
